Get to know the baker!

Hi, I’m Cait, the baker behind A Tablespoon of Sweet.

What started as something I just loved doing has turned into a full-on business. I specialize in elegant, French-inspired desserts—especially macarons—along with other small-batch treats made with intention and high-quality ingredients.

I’m currently in culinary school, where I’m continuing to build my skills and push myself creatively. I’m also exploring the opportunity to attend pastry school in France, which has always been a huge goal of mine. I want to keep learning, refining my technique, and bringing that level of detail and care into everything I make.

I’ve already taken the steps to turn this into something real, with my business license and cottage food permit, and I’ve started selling at local markets and community events. Seeing people try my desserts and genuinely enjoy them is honestly the best part.

My goal is to create desserts that feel a little more special—something that looks beautiful, tastes balanced, and stands out. I’m always working on new flavors and ideas, and I love being able to share that with people.

Thank you for supporting my business and being part of where this is all going!

Kind Words.

A few kind words from customers who have experienced my desserts.

“A Tablespoon of Sweet has all your baking needs without the processed dyes. The chef bakes with perfection and provides clarity on how long an order will take. I would recommend this establishment to anyone who is looking for delicious macarons. I ordered a couple dozen for a family birthday and it was the talk of the town for the entire event.

I would personally recommend the fudge chocolate and the seasonal pumpkin cheesecake macarons. While the staple of A Tablespoon of Sweet is macarons the chef also has several other baked goods including breads, bagels, and bars which are absolutely delicious.”

“Absolutely amazing. Some of the best macarons I've ever had in my entire life. The chef/owner is amazing to work with and super polite. Her shortbread bars are also amazing. It's like biting into a thick pop-tart but without all the preservatives and dyes.

Her other baked goods (i.e English muffins, and bagels) are also great. Just like getting them from the store, but much higher quality.

10 outta 10, will recommend.”
